A wider world.
A wider bookshelf.

For voices that deserve
to be heard.

Wang & Jean Publishers is an independent diversity publisher and a subsidiary of Average White Press LLC. Our mission is to publish stories excluded from the traditional mainstream—whether because of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, geographic origin, or emotional or physical challenges.

We welcome unsolicited manuscripts from new and previously published authors. What matters is a story with something to say and a voice that makes us listen.

Our commitment extends beyond the printed page. Workshops and lectures support published writers, emerging writers, and students. Readers are part of that community, too: your conversations, recommendations, and reviews help these stories reach the people who need them.
